2009 was a difficult year for the Russian market of glass containers. During the previous years, production capacities had failed to meet the needs of glass jar consumers, which led to a deficit in this market segment, while no such deficit was present in the glass bottle segment. In 2009, the latter had to reduce its volume of output by 18.3% under the impact of the economic crisis. |
World Food Azerbaijan will open its doors on 25 May, celebrating 15 years as the leading industry exhibition in Azerbaijan. The exhibitors at World Food Azerbaijan span the whole of Azerbaijan and, for the first time this year, PalSud, which is based in Lenkoran, will be taking part. For the first time, national stands of Pakistan and Jordan will be presented at with expositions. Another newcomer is Thailand. The government is currently reviewing its food policy, which makes World Food Azerbaijan extremely important in generating new business for its exhibitors. To coincide with its anniversary, a number of events have been planned to generate greater exposure for the exhibitors. The general sponsor of WorldFood Azerbaijan 2009 is Azersun Holding. World Food Azerbaijan will take place on 25-27 May.
